It was too surface level and unfocused for me. I wish it went into more depth on fewer characters. I kept thinking it would make a better movie, with all the melodramatic reveals.

A fun romance. It was a fanfic style of “behind the scenes of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein” mixed with modern references. For example, the Frankensteins have indoor plumbing for the bathtub, which “my brother Victor invented.” Angelika’s creation Will makes her a better person, so that was good character development. Thanks to Barnes and Noble for the ARC!
