I have to be honest. I didn't like the book as a whole. The plot was messy, and the apocalypse somehow was not a real threat for the characters at all.

I didn't like the fact that everything was about fake love, and drugs and drinking and destroying. When you get news like the one in the book, you start to think about getting everything right and just enjoying life while it lasts. It's suppossed to be a turning point in one's life but I didn't feel this, maybe just in Peter's case, who was actually my favorite character and who didn't deserve the ending that he got. The rest of the characters were okay but I couldn't symphatize with any of them. Maybe it's just me but this book didn't got me on the edge of my seat at all. And that ending... I have to say that there are good open endings, that are really working with the concept of some books, but this one was a little bit strange, like it left you hanging while everything you wanted to find out never came clear.

But there were parts I liked too, like some of the characters and their developments, some quotes and thoughts here and there and just the idea of this asteroid hitting the Earth. Bringing Barack Obama into this book was a plus point because it made the book a lot more relatable.

All in all, I wouldn't recommend this book to any of my friends, but I can understand why a few people liked it.

I'm properly FANGIRLING right now. I love this book. Everything about it.

At first we have this amazing, strong and powerfull heroine of the story. Penryn is nothing that I would've expected. She's fierce and sarcastic and even though a half naked *Angel* needs her help, she's not falling headfirst in the pool of cheesy angel-fantasy love. I've read a lot of books about angels but this is nothing like any of them.
And then we have this whole situation of angels attacking our world but human power is really not as weak as everyone thinks. I just loved the fact that this group of selfthaught militaries was able to fight back without any supernatural powers.

If you're in denial then READ THIS BOOK. I guarantee that you will love it just as much as everyone did.

No. Just no. This wasn't a love story. This was a sexually charged cheeseball full of clichès that were somehow misused.

I felt like the whole book was based on Wren and Charlie's sexual attraction and their conversations that wanted to seem really intelligent and complicated but to me it was just a bunch of mess just like the characters.

Wren, poor Wren. I understand that it must suck to have overprotective parents that want to rule your life, but she could've just sit down and talk to them about her plans. She's sooo selfish I can't even explain; naive and always giggling like a little girl in a toy shop. This whole virgin act was really making me angry and I just wanted to climb into the book and do really bad things to her.

About Charlie I don't know what to say. He said he loved Wren but still went running when Starrla wanted "help". His love seemed unexistable, maybe just a little affection for the giggling cute girl.

This whole book just didn't work for me. I was so eager to get through it and just forget about it's existance. I have to say I looovee a good romance novel but this was making me angry, it was boring and expectable and the whole plot just didn't seem to fit together.

I loved it. A true emotional rollercoaster for sure with strange twists but the whole family was really lovable and even though I was a little skeptic about this strange relationship between Kate and Shane, in the end everything fell in place. It was a quick read, but well-written and emotionally packed. I really enjoyed reading it!

Haunting, creepy but utterly catching!

3.5 Siren-istic stars!

Even though this book got a lot of bad reviews I think it was a good read. I read it really fast because the plot was intriguing and I really liked some characters (actually everyone but Emma) and I was interested in the story's development. Maybe from the middle of the book I knew what was going to come, and that was a little bit dissapointing; but I will definitely give the second book a chance!
