You have to digest this book, you have to solve it, solve every ounce of information you get. It's really complex, the plot divides in two parts, from which you only understand one, and the other one is revealed in the last chapter. I loved how it touched some mental illnesses, not just the ones Jacob had, but the ones Laurie developed throughout the book.
Actually I liked this book, it had some minor flaws but it's the kind of book that just marks you and leaves you with doubts for a very long time.

It was not what I expected. But in a really good way. I was scared of the main theme being about aliens and I supposed it's about big green monsters taking control of Earth. However it was suprisingly good and as I put the first book down I already started the second one.
What an incredible journey! I absolutely love the whole plot, the characters and all. Can't wait to read all the books from the series ❤
I'm confused as hell... I don't even know what to think.
In a way it's a pretty ending, but... I think I was expecting something better? something to blow my mind with?
It obviously wasn't worth the wait and I'm really sorry for that.

Honestly, I've been struggling to read this book. Maybe because the plot didn't excite me that much, or because of the long, over detailed, full of metaphor storytelling, I don't know yet. It wasn't a bad book though. I can understand why a lot of people are in love with this book, the characters are real, you can easily love them, hate them and I enjoyed it, the book entirely it's different. Guess It's just not my type of different for some reason.
