Highly Illogical Behavior delves in elements of mental illness, friendship, family, and courage. Specially on what it takes to live, out here, in this scary and unforgiving world.
With changing POVs, John Corey Whaley created three amazing characters that, even though flawed, find and mend each other.
Solomon will forever be my spirit animal... And if he'd only be real...
Lisa's wit and narrative gave me life alongside her wonderful boyfriend, Clark.

The more I think about it, I realize I may have finished the best book of 2016.
Between the laughing out loud and the weeping, this story, I will always remember.

"People enter our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime."

Matthew Quick.... Oh, Matthew.
Thank you for writing. Thank you for being an author.
Definitely my favorite contemporary author.

Every Exquisite Thing has spoken to things I didn't know I had. Or to feelings I didn't know I still had.
Nanette O'Hare is such an amazing character. Another one to add to your fully-flawed collection of amazing characters that survive and thrive in my heart.

Again, thank you. (Even though you'll probably never read this.)

No doubt, the best graphic novel ever written.
I don't even know if it'll be better to call this an illustrated book or just leave it as the masterpiece of its medium.
No other novel can compete against the depth of the characters, their story and how they intertwine. Alan Moore crafted a world of raw superheroes and shines a light on the cracks in society with a prose that indeed breaks graphic novel boundaries.

The prose!
The prose!
The prose!
This is a work that sometimes makes you forget about the characters and just submerge into the writing. Extremely beautiful.
I was about to give it 4 stars until something happened with one of the characters that made me cringe with emotions. It reminded me of some things my heart and myself have been through. So... It deserves the 5.

I just can't rate this right now.

UPDATE 1/30/17:
4.5****
Now I can talk clearly about this book.
Mindy McGinnis tends to write stories that don't fit in. They don't care about sentimentality or political correctness. In a constant push of boundaries, we find ourselves with a book that contains elements of animal cruelty, rape and murder. But the author knows how to make it work, just like in her earlier work, A Madness So Discreet. Mindy has now become one of those automatic buys whether she writes fantasy (eyeing her upcoming Given To The Sea), contemporary or just a plain old romcom.
