The newest book by one of my favorite authors, @stephsowden publishes this Friday! It is being published under the name Stephanie Steel. The Train from Platform 2 is a page turning locked door murder mystery. A group of people find themselves stuck on a train on the London Underground. The main character, Jess is a former DI and the story is told from her POV, as well as the others stuck with her. The story is twisty and I did not guess the murderer.

I would love to see Stephanie and @avonbooks bring DI Jess back for another investigation!

I highly recommend this book and Stephanie’s other two books if you have not read them yet!

This is the first book that I have read by @amandamckinneyauthor but I will be diving into her backlist soon!

When I Disappear is Amanda’s newest novel and it is a twisty, page turner! The thriller follows main character, Sylvia whose mother was murdered twenty years prior. As the convicted murderer is coming up on parole, Sylvia begins to receive threats. Was the wrong man convicted or will his parole mean that she is his next victim?!

I highly recommend the audiobook version of this novel. It is well narrated and kept my attention! I just wanted to keep listening to find out what would happen next. The ending completely surprised me!

This book is going to be one that you either love or hate. Unfortunately, I fall in the latter category. The story was completely chaotic! It took the term unreliable narrator to a whole other level. It was so hard to tell if the characters were lying or lying about telling lies. Further, none of the characters are likeable.

@thiswritersays has a new stand-alone thriller publishing next week (31 January 2025) and it’s a page turner! All the characters seem to be hiding major secrets as they start work together on a new resort in the Florida Keys. Right before opening, a major hurricane is pending landfall and people have started to go missing. I highly recommend the audiobook version of this book. It is well narrated and full of surprising twists!
