Very short and to the point, Galatea delivers a reflective narrative on womanhood that transcends era.

I loved the concept of this! Overall, a really interesting story and book. The storytelling itself felt a bit jilted at times, lacking detail/description in some moments while diving too deep at other times.

This is the more boring execution of what could have been such a lovely cozy fantasy. Also, incredibly blasΓ© on covering sexual assault.

Really - I think it took me 2 months on and off to sit down and commit to reading this book, then 2 weeks to actually finish it.
While it does start slow, the world building and plot development done in the beginning of the book paints a rich and complex world that draws you in and makes the events of the book that much more impactful.
Love, betrayal, dragons, witches, what more could you ask for?

This book does a great job of presenting the same facts to different characters, and showing the different reactions/feelings on each of them.

I loved Bookshops and Bonedust (read first, didnβt realize it was a prequel book) and was just as charmed by this story. You simply have to root for Viv, but all the characters are lovable.
