As an optimistic nihilist; The conclusion just hit too close to home. Accepting that happiness is just as fleeting as the bad feelings we experience and how most of us chase that (happiness) despite it’s inevitably. When, what we could try to do, is attempt to take better care of each other with simple acts of kindness. We all feel alone and want to be heard, most of us only feel validated if given that validation vs accepting we’re capable of attempting/finishing/enjoying X Y Z. The final page she drew her character graffitiing “THIS BOOK WASNT SUPPOSED TO EXIST”

As a hey, I didn’t kill myself (which I absolutely loved as someone who has had attempts)

The extra characters in the background (skater guy) were so unserious it just added emphasis to her optimistic nihilism (which is how I perceived this comic) I hate to say it, because it does suck - but this is relatable. I feel less alone after reading this - I hope the author feels less alone after the courage to share this part of themselves.
