5 stars obviously. What else did you expect. It's 268 pages of Percy simping over Annabeth. Rick Riordan can do no wrong
Psyche and Eros: A Novel by Luna McNamara
3.5
I generally enjoyed this book. I wasn't super familiar with the myth and mostly liked what the author did with it. However, I couldn't shake the confusion I felt at the ease in which Psyche was able to consider herself Eros's wife. It kinda just...happened and then was accepted for the rest of the book. The other gods mention a couple times that they aren't technically married because they did not perform the correct rites. Maybe the takeaway here is that marriage is just a societal construct and the true love bond between two people matters more. Either way, how easily Psyche fell for Eros's trick didn't make sense to me.
Lavender House by Lev AC Rosen

I'm not much of a mystery reader but couldn't pass on this premise. Overall, it's not a bad book but fell a bit flat for me. The solving of the mystery was one that slotted into place and didn't have much of a shocking twist, in my opinion. I also found Andy to be a merely okay detective. The reader could've pieced together the ending without him to be quite honest. Fairly predictable but enjoyable nonetheless.
I will be reading more of this series as they release because I am now invested in Andy's life beyond this novel.
