The Midnight Feast by Lucy Foley

3.5

Lucy Foley is an auto buy author for me and I couldn’t wait to see what she had done next. The Midnight Feast is a great summer thriller when you’re looking to escape the heat.

I enjoyed the atmospheric setting and the legend of “the birds” that haunted the manor. The multiple view points kept the story going.

While I preferred other Lucy Foley books, I’m glad I read this. Looking forward to reading what Lucy writes next!

Thank you to NetGalley and William Morrow for an advanced copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

Not Another Love Song by Julie Soto made me giddy with joy. I absolutely loved Gwen and Xander. I fell in love with them as they fell in love with each other. Their tension was palpable.

I was so excited to receive this Julie Soto book because I loved her debut novel. Not Another Love Song, is now my absolute favorite of hers. I don’t know how Julie did it, but this love story focuses on the Manhattan Pops, and while I didn’t know most of the melodies and music being played, I could hear them as I read the book.

While there this story had a bit of instant love, it didn’t bother me and made me root for Gwen and Xander harder. I couldn’t put it down! I cant wait to read what Julie writes next!
