Not what I was expecting, but pretty good plot. Still has the cheesy lines but at least it comes with substance. Donovan is the bad boy, gone good. Autumn is an enigma until you read further and get her story. Definitely a slow burn, but worth the read.

Lovely Second Chance Romance

I really loved Sam’s journey, even though frustrating at times. I connected with the sum of what it means to be loved and to love someone. What you should and shouldn’t sacrifice to be loved. And being true to yourself and loving yourself and who you’re becoming is the most important journey of all.

Didn’t want it to end!

I’m a sucker for witty banter and this book delivered! It took a second for me to get in to the book, but once I did I was hooked! I hope they make this in to a movie as Fizzy and Connor’s chemistry is incredible.

Perfect listen for a long road trip. I loved the quirky characters and their personalities. The banter was on point and I feel a kinship to Millie with her 90s movie preferences and Fleetwood Mac love. Read enough romance and the tropes get a little tired, I.e. he doesn’t want me, but all actions and words clearly point to the opposite. Insecurities abound and trust issues. I was glad this miscommunication was resolved relatively quickly as there was a larger story at play. I loved learning about Rose and Millie’s friendship (I feel like that was the true winner of the story) and also the hope of reconnection of a first, yet enduring love. That hurt the most! But overall really enjoyed this one!
