This is a different type of Second Chance webtoon , with two characters going back in time instead of one. Its not an entirely unique concept but Vedis and
Rosanne
both deliver the plot well from two different POVS. They're incredibly smart , talented and willing to do what it takes to save their loved ones this time around.  Personality and strength-wise they are ALOT more reliable than how alot of female characters are written.

I gotta be honest , im scratching my head on this one. It was good enough to willingly keep reading , but not enough to be satisfied with the ending which came incredibly fast. There's only 81 chapters , and while the plot starts off at a medium pace , it suddenly picks up near the end and kinda? Throws resolutions on the table and says "uh, here!! it was gonna be this way all along!" ? The ending was very rushed in a Bleach typa way and leaves you just a tad confused but it's not bad for a quick read.

I just had my wash day this morning so it felt fitting to read , seeing an illustration of the step by step process is just as long as going through it lmao. Very sweet and short , only reason this isn't a 5☆ for me is because nobody called out Cookie for that crystal mess 🙄 trying to dissuade someone from taking the medication they need and offering a CRYSTAL in exchange woulda had me heated .

For all the Westerners who still fantasize about the sweet and docile Asian woman like Miss Saigon , I'd say , "Wake up! Your Miss Saigon was dead and gone a long time ago. She's not here anymore."

I don't read much nonfiction books , preferring to receive my history from online articles or current stories . As an avid kpop and kdrama fan  , who's active on social media ,  I've always assumed myself to be midly aware of main core issues of South Korea . After all , it's impossible to interact with a space so intimately and not walk away with some knowledge,  right? I was wrong. So very , very wrong and to the women of South Korea I deeply apologize for my ignorance.

I've heard about the Burning Sun crimes and the station stabbing , but reading this book? Reading it after learning about all the pain that came before those horride crime  , about how hard South Korean women fought and continue to fight has been another reminder on the dangers of femicide and gender-based violence.  Misogyny is a danger and threat to us all , and the feminist movement of South Korea is a beautiful but harrowing example to us all.

"If there's a book you want to read , but it hasn't been written yet , then you must write it.

I took me 21 days to read this book. A lot of things in it were very triggering for me but I'm extremely glad I finished. Even when one understands intersectionality , it's important to continuously read stories from people outside of your based community.  I'm proud of South Korean women,  proud that they were able to use examples of women outside of SK as a foothold to what they seek to achieve . I hope they know women all across-the-board are rooting for them and their freedom. May we all see change in this lifetime.

Being next to each other is what's important.
Even though he loves reading books , scanning over the letters apparently can get tiring ,
so she secretly feels obliged to be a source of healing for his eyes when they wander.

Meanwhile , What can I do?
Look at her to my heart's content , yes, at least I can do that.
....
Her half-opened mouth , the tip of her tongue caught between her teeth , that's the habit she has when she's touching something with her full attention,  I've only noticed quite recently.
Once she has internalized the shape of my left arm ,
with a bit of pressure from her hands and a cheeky "Thank you , sir" , she gives me my arm back , telling me the audience is over.

I had to explain how the face works as a third hand.
It's important, after all .
"And how would we shake hands using this third?"
He asked.
"Shake hands , hmmm?....", it didn't take me long. Though the solution that came to me was embarrassing.
I bit my lips.
He clicked his boots three times.
He does that when he's proud of himself.
It's something I know.

" He's so considerate,  look...Her hand is wandering around , like a small animal. So he takes her finger and puts it through the cups handle , every single time. Are you seeing it?"

"He sure goes through alot of trouble."

This is a very intimately beautiful manga , comprised of small moments between , Aleksander , a policeman ,  and Emma , a blind woman. There is no plot , no action or fanfare.  Just a  sweet and attentive relationship that can't be described in even the most complex of words.

Even if you don't normally read manga , I encourage you to read this! You'll fall in love with the monolgues and art for sure ♡
