“IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A LITERARY MASTERPIECE, THIS MIGHT NOT BE FOR YOU.” I should’ve DNFed it when I read that at the beginning but yet I stuck around because how are you , as an author, going to say “If you’re thinking, “There’s no way someone could write a fantasy romance book without a fantasy plot,” you’re wrong. I can, and I did.” and then have a half baked political intrigue and fantasy elements with dead ends.

What I enjoyed most about this was how it raises the question of the moralization of social norms and what it means if you go against the grate so to speak. A very unique story with an a main character that’s actually quite relatable if you’re autistic.
