This is like if Faulkner’s “A Rose for Emily” was boring and predictable!

This was such a spectacular memoir. To be transparent, I have been an avid watcher of Caitlin on her youtube channel for over 4 years, so I began the book already excited to learn more about her, but I think it was still an excellent memoir. I especially loved her narration as I read 1/2 and listened to the other half, and she really brought something even more special to the table. Highly recommended

Honestly, a bit cringy at times but I enjoyed it well enough for what it’s worth.

I need to look at other people’s reviews of this book because I’m wondering why there was so much backlash on booktok and every social media platform, I guess. I absolutely loved it; Yes, there were parts (many, I might add) that make me roll my eyes or made me cringe but I still think the story was told quite well and Hoover was able to bring light to a situation many, many people criticize and don’t understand.

Edit: Also… I sobbed at the end, and I never cry when reading.
