It was the ending which took away 0.5. This novel was sooo good until everything we just read was destroyed in like the last 100 pages. I don’t regret everything I read prior to that though. I loved orv and I SHOUDLVE known about the authors weird fascination with open endings. Despite all this I truly did enjoy reading the novel and it helped me get over orv. This novel is one I think everyone should read - it’s mind blowing and very smartly written. I can’t get enough of it.

The reason the rating is kind of low is because the book was hard to get through. I believe this is because it is a classic. However, I did enjoy the story even though my favourite characters died. The ending wasn’t satisfying, they did all that hunting - for what?

The book was great overall and it brushed upon topics that I feel should be included in every book. However, once it came to the ending I needed more. There was some sort of misunderstanding and it was finally solved. That was it. They talked so much about New York and I wanted to see them there and what the future was like for the two. I hope we get a bonus chapter on it or something. Also us Brits don’t only use the word ‘bloody’ - that aspect of the book was funny though.

This book just keeps getting better every time I read it. It’s addicting and time consuming but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Andrew and Neil are by far one of my favourite couples of all time. This book is beautiful and I don’t care what anyone else has to say about it. Yes it has its ups and downs but in the end this book really hit the mark with the found family trope and that’s all that matters.
