Down and Out in Paris and London by George Orwell

Orwell's prose aren't that riveting, so at times this book just felt like an essay. Not that there's anything wrong with that per se, it's just that Down and Out lacked style. Some of the stories and anecdotes are really very interesting, and even sometimes funny, but it's very much a travel diary.
