Rich Dad Poor Dad is one of the first books I read when I started my personal growth journey. I could see myself in the story and I didn’t like what I saw. I was living paycheck to paycheck, complaining about not having enough money, but I wasn’t doing anything about it. This book is a must read if you need a fundamental shift in your mindset about how money works. The most valuable lesson taught in this book is wealthy people don’t work for money, their money works for them.

I read this book because I saw a YouTube video of Dr. Chapman teaching Oprah about her love language. It’s a must read if you have a desire to learn how to properly love everyone in your life and improve your relationships. Both the singles and the couple’s edition explain each of the five love languages in depth. However, the singles edition provides additional information specifically for singles.

Reading both books helped me realize that my love languages will be different depending on who I'm dealing with.

I decided to read this book after seeing the story about Devon’s daughter on social media. Still In The Game is an amazing story of faith, determination and perseverance. Reading this book will make you feel like EVERYTHING that could go wrong for Devon DID, but he’s a fighter who REFUSED to be defeated. He had no idea the challenges he faced early in his life were preparing him to help his daughter Leah fight for her life at just 4 years old. I decided to read The Alchemist after hearing Will Smith talk about it in a YouTube video. It’s an amazing story about a young boy who sets out on a journey to find a treasure after having a dream. Along his journey he encountered several people and learned quite a few life lessons. It's the perfect illustration of how following a dream is never a straight path. The ones who eventually catch their dreams are the ones who continue the journey despite encountering challenges and obstacles along the way. This is a must read if you want to be inspired to begin or continue chasing your dreams.
