This audio book was fun and light and I had a pretty decent time with it.

Is it the masterpiece of literature genius? No, but it's small little nods to humor and adventure are similar to what you would find from a Percy Jackson book.

Yes the plot goes by quickly and sometimes nonsense of it not adding up, but overall this was something I needed to mindlessly listen to and get a laugh every once in a while.

This book is like a Hallmark Christian Christmas movie mixed with Little House on the prairie if it was written by Jane Austen.

It's such a cozy comfort read that I can't fault it very much at all, it reminds me of spending time with my grandmother and her way of looking at the world sometimes.

The only thing I couldn't look past was the intense religious messages throughout the book, I know it would have fit with the times of when this was written but some chapters literally felt like a church sermon.

Because I listened to this as an audio book I feel like it was much more enjoyable. If I was to read this I honestly feel like it would have been much cringier.

There wasn't anything specifically wrong with this book, it was adventure fluff with smut and I will totally be continuing on with the series but there were some things about this read that were comical in the "trashy reads" kinda way.

This book felt like it was 200 pages too long.

I will say that the author does an amazing job at creating details of the characters and the town where the story takes place, all of that is really composed. But nothing in the plot was really driving me to keep reading. Several times I caught myself just wishing I was further along (and not in a good way) because there were moments this felt like such a drag to get through.

The plot wasn't very gripping and I wasn't held up to the wee hours waiting to see what happened. Literally the writing was the only saving grace to this book

While the writing of this book was done pretty well the plot I feel suffered. I'm sure this was meant to be a nice coming of age story and two teens processing hardships in their life, but it didn't really do much of that and instead focused more on the romance.

While there were some great inspirational moments sprinkled throughout there wasn't much to be left feeling powerful from those scenes.

Everything else in this book fell to the side for the romance to take front and center though the instant attraction was very realistic of how it feels.

If you are wanting a very base level romance book then this is for you, but if you're searching for something that's going to make you feel inspirational then look somewhere else.

This was a really moving work of literature. I was left with tears and a deep desire to make the most out of my life not only for me but for all the people that are apart of me.

I will say that this book has lots of triggering content, so please make sure to read the warnings before picking it up.

A couple reasons I didn't rate this 5 stars was because there were moments that didn't really outline how Edward was able to move forward and cope, it more so just cuts to him feeling slightly better and keeps working through that but we don't get too much internal dialogue or outside perspective into this. Also, it was a little too philosophical and "other worldly" for me personally that I couldn't get past to push it over the edge to a 5 star read.

But without a doubt a book that was a pure earthquake to my being and left me emotionally drained but also inspired. I truly compliment the author on this book.

This was a true YA read if I've ever experienced, but I honestly had so much fun with it. It's a light hearted read of true satirical jab at the vampire "insta love" teenage genre.

The characters were indeed pretty one dimensional and the plot wasn't much, but it was still a great time. This is by no means a staple to my reading list, but it was a nice change of pace from other YA books and to the vampire formula. (Rounding down to 3 stars on GoodReads)

This was a pretty average book for me. I feel like it needed some more tweaking in both scene description and world building. Also, the pacing of the plot needed some work.

I will say that I loved seeing so much LGBTQ+ representation in the book and while the story as a whole felt fresh to me, it didn't seem as well composed or fully fleshed out.

This was a pretty amazing story that I was engrossed with from the start. The characters were all complex and unique, and it was a journey to really unravel them as the plot went on.

I will say there were few a things that I had some gripes about. First the sections of the book and the chapters were split up in a strange and choppy way. Sometimes the same instance would be told by several POV and other times it would be days later without any real distinction on where in the timeline this was happening. Also, it seemed like some things were left out in the editing process, because suddenly something would happen or nodded at that really wasn't discussed much.

Also, there were some verbiage and world building that I felt was lacking, because while we know at the beginning of the book that the world has vampires we learn latter on that there are indeed other mythical creatures and additional lore which seemed out of place to add 3/4 of the way into the read.

Last, I will say that the ending felt a bit disjointed to me and especially with the final chapter. I didn't mind the chaos that was ensuing but because of that, several things just didn't seem to line up and of course it was left off in a cliff-hanger that doesn't really tie up much loose ends.

Ending this on a 3.75 star book (rounding up to 4 stars on Goodreads) because while I had some complaints the story itself was very fun and I very much enjoyed the characters

This was just a plain decent audio book. Nothing about this particularly blew me away, but it's not horrible. There were some fun reimagining moments of the typical "vampire" tropes along with the dystopian society genre.

I'll still be continuing on with the series to see what happens with our girl Darcy and her crew but this isn't one book that has me gripping the edge of my seat to find out what happens next.

Overall this was a nice background book to listen to if you were wanting something a little chill and still have some plot.
