Thank you netgalley and Bea Northwick for providing me an opportunity to read eARC!

Millie took on the role of a library assistant after regaining consciousness in the hospital four years ago. When the opportunity arose to work as Professor Hughes' personal assistant, she eagerly accepted due to the comfortable salary it offered.

Arriving at the eerie estate, Millie was advised of certain off-limits areas for her own safety. However, her curiosity got the better of her when she heard the cries and screams of a mysterious woman dressed in white during the night. As Millie assisted the professor in his research on supernatural beings and beliefs, she found herself growing more at ease with him each day, even spending time together outside of work. The tension between them was palpable, their gazes filled with heat and longing.

Driven by her desire to uncover the secrets and mysteries of the estate, Millie delved deeper into the history of the haunted place and the woman she had encountered. Unexpected plot twists emerged as Millie discovered more than she had bargained for. Time was running out before Millie found herself in grave danger.

The plot was skillfully crafted, weaving secrets and suspense throughout. While some twists were predictable, I enjoyed the inclusion of the found family trope and the element of second chance romance. I eagerly anticipate reading the other books by the author!

I was eager to find a quick, intense, and captivating read, so I was delighted when my bestie recommended this novella to me. And oh boy, it did not disappoint!

The story had a dark and tantalizing atmosphere. Blair is a wealthy, stunning blonde who appears to be obedient and has a well-known reputation. However, she grows tired of constantly being watched and playing the role of the perfect princess. When she visits the carnival with her friend, Blair sees it as an opportunity to break free from her usual persona and indulge in something wild and unpredictable. Unfortunately, her ex-boyfriend shows up and insists on reconciling their relationship. Despite her attempts to end things, he insults Blair. That's when Jackson steps in and scares off the ex, sending him running in the opposite direction.

Jackson is the epitome of a wild and untamed individual. He works in the carnival, specifically in the horror house. He finds this position more intriguing than any other, and when he unknowingly lays eyes on Blair, who is a walking temptation, he can't help but fantasize about all the ways he could play with her. Just for one night. However, Jackson harbors a dark secret that he doesn't want her to discover. Despite this, the thrill of their game and his undeniable attraction to her don't suppress his wild nature.

The spice in the short novella was exactly as anticipated, for Jackson certainly knows how to dominate and manipulate Blair. However, even after that, it left them yearning for more. What initially began as a single night of pleasure ultimately resulted in a deep desire for each other.

If you're looking for a something short and spicy, read this for a spooky season and to get rid of a reading slump!

A creepy and horror novella with dirty talking silver mask dude.

What in the ever loving shit was that ending?!

I thought to dnf more than I could count and gods, did it frustrated the shit out of me? Yes. The story was dragged soo much around the same issues and about Violet and Xaden relationship. I get that he had to keep secrets for his own and other's sake but boy, what's this new 'ask' thing??

The book is a true masterpiece!

Thora and Malik. Mal and Rora. Malrora.

I couldn't count how many days I'd waited to read their story since the moment they met in Spring guardians and songbirds and all the endless teasers Wendy did in her page.

In book 2, Mal and Rora quickly formed a deep bond, but it didn't last long before hurtful words came between them. Now, after the events of book 3, we see Thora's transformation into a Queen, leading her people in Isjord. However, she is merely a shell of herself, having endured immense suffering throughout her childhood and adulthood. She has numbed her emotions and memories of the past, including her friendship with Mal, who was once her anchor but ultimately broke her heart and disappeared for years.

Rora was compelled to marry a wealthy lord in order to protect her people from her cousin Iskyla, who threatened to seize her throne. Just when Rora least expected it, Malik reappeared in her life on her wedding day, only for tragedy to strike as Iskayla murdered her fiancé. Caught between conflicting emotions for Malik and the treacherous world of politics, Rora finds herself on the brink of being consumed by it all.

The story was everything I had expected from Mal and Rora and so much I hadn't expected as well. Their connection didn't born from teasing and flirting but rather from the anguish and heartache of feeling unloved and searching for their place in the world. Both Mal and Rora carried scars from their pasts, seeking solace in one another. The gradual development of their relationship was exquisitely written which I found myself tearing up. My heart shattered for them, only to be delicately pieced back together.

I was absolutely thrilled to see Castemont family of Snow, Kilian, and their adorable children. The reunion filled my heart to the brim, and I found myself crying again of pure joy because of how much I missed them. The story was filled with heartwarming family moments that made me both laugh and swoon.

Even though Wendy said that this story was a novella, it obviously didn't feel like one. It felt as though I was experiencing the entire story all over again, relishing in the presence of beloved characters and their witty banter. This series has completely captivated me, and I'm reluctant to let it go.

It was unholiness with the filthy mouth and filthy things!! Short and spicy as fuck. Now, I need a Daddy Santa

Holy Mama of Gods! Fire Daddy Enzo and Shadow Mommy Elara. Together

The author cease to amaze me with her captivating narratives, and this particular book is no exception! As the sequel to the Ravenpeak Bay trilogy, I was immediately drawn to Everett when he made his appearance in his older brother Torin's story, and I knew I would be enthralled by his own tale. While I wasn't quite sure what to expect, I must say, he is an incredibly charming and incredibly attractive assassin! He truly has a passion for his profession and thrives on the excitement it brings. Raised for this line of work since birth, he has become exceptionally skilled in his craft.

His latest kill comes from Mr. Lauder, who hires Everett to eliminate his rivals. It is during this mission that Everett crosses paths with Arryn Lauder, Mr. Lauder's daughter. Arryn is both an ice queen model and the heiress to the Lauder company. From the moment Everett lays eyes on her, he senses an undeniable connection. In a departure from his usual approach, Everett finds himself inexplicably drawn to Arryn like a moth to a flame. He embarks on a relentless pursuit, gathering every piece of information he can find about her and following her every move.

When things take an unexpected turn in his mission against the rivals, resulting in Mr. Lauder's murder and Arryn becoming a witness, Everett takes it upon himself to "kidnap" her in order to protect her from the now-hunting adversaries. Together, they seek refuge in Ravenpeak Bay.

Arryn Lauder, a successful entrepreneur and model, gained a reputation as the "Ice Queen" due to the envy and dislike she faced from those who desired her status and power. Surrounded by people who only sought to benefit from her, she found herself intrigued by the enigmatic and flirtatious Everett. Unlike anyone else in her life, he showed genuine interest in her without any ulterior motives. Despite knowing the risks, Arryn couldn't resist going on a date with him, only to be taken captive by him the following day, becoming the target of her enemies.

I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the story and the characters. It was a delight to see Torin, Maya, Harper, and the others from Ravenpeak once again! The plot intertwined with Torin's book, introducing significant assassin-related conflicts. The romance was sweet and toe curling spicy with Everett's dirty talking. The scenes were passionate, steamy, and filled with raw desire.

The unexpected twist in the plot completely caught me off guard! Now, I am eagerly looking forward to the next couple's story, set to be released next year!
