It was fine. I could have done without the constant swearing - I realise this is intentional but after a certain point, approximately 5 minutes in, it is repetitive and irritating. That is to say, the swearing adds nothing to the content. And as a self-help book from a licensed therapist, my expectation was very much that listening would be akin to a real therapy session rather than what is a mix of attempting to befriend me and telling me off.
The quality of the audiobook is one of the worst I've ever come across, the experience was much akin to being shouted at for 4 hours. The overview of trauma responses was helpful and gave an interesting background but as I said the delivery was offputting and made it difficult for the Actually Helpful tips (of which there were many) to stick.
