I loved it!! AND idk if I've been desensitized or if it was supposed to be this way but it felt less jarring than the other books. I really enjoyed all the clues and call backs and tie ins. it just felt like it was missing the umph that made the other books really special. I'm wondering if it is bc 50th anniversary, 2nd quarter quell, is peak everyone just being fine with it submitting to the games. enough time has passed since they started that ppl are getting defeated and powerless but not long enough for ppl to start questioning in an overt, rebellious way. there was so much head to head in the og books and songbirds and snakes but not so much in this one.

If it wasn't for the beginning and middle I would've really liked this book. That bonus chapter earned an entire extra star all by itself. Thank goddddd the dog is ok or I would've sued.

Idk it was alright. I related to the story. I appreciate the message but I was bored. I do hope more people read this and realize that making the other side, no matter what side you're on, feel stupid and feel like the enemy is not going to get us anywhere. You're not gonna get anyone to listen to you if you start off by telling them they're dumb.

I loved it. I loved it so much. Nesta and Cassian 5ever. I wish the entire series had been this powerful but ngl I enjoyed myself throughout the whole journey. The first time I tried to read these books I couldn't stay focused. After doing some healing of my own I was able to come back and blow thru the entire series in a week. Now I'm on to Crescent City 3 which is the whole reason I started this.
