a really great collection of stories-- I love this world and these characters so much

I pretty much loved all of these except The Darkrose and The Diamond, it was okay, but nothing special, and the worst of the bunch.
inspiring reflective slow-paced

A bit more simplistic than what I typically reach for. A couple definitely stood out, especially For V, which was beautifully crafted and very emotional.

Will be looking to pick up more of Ditlevsen's work in the future!

this unlocked a lot of new fears for me tbh but otherwise I feel like it didn't do very much.

The commentary around capitalism and feminism was good, but I didn't love how weak the narrator's voice felt (not as in his character was weak, but he didn't feel very developed).

I also found the pacing off, and the end just seemed to happen without leaving you with much.

Not necessarily bad, but the stories didn’t actually say or do anything and are very forgettable. The writing was decent but offered little of intrigue.

None of the themes were explored with any depth or complexity. Really disappointing.

The best book in the Earthsea Cycle -- just incredible

My previous favorite was the Tombs of Atuan, so I was so excited to read more about Tenar's story and this was incredible.
