this was such a cute read. i loved the characters and i loved that there was actually a plot to follow—some romance doesn’t have that. i would probably rate it a 2/5 spice wise. loved the romance aspect and i love how it ended. had me crying several times throughout it because it was so wholesome.

it took a while to get into the book as a whole because it didn’t start picking up until about part 2 but i’m so glad i kept reading. this was such an emotional read for me (with how the ending went (i don’t usually cry with books)) so i loved it very much. only not a 5 star because of how slow the beginning was so i probably wouldn’t want to reread it but again i’m glad i read it to begin with!

this was such a good read. i’ve never read a poetry book before but i loved this so much. i loved the different POVs between the 2 main characters and how the story gave insights to their minds while the plot continued on
the lgbtqia+ representation also made me cry

literally my new favorite book. there are bipoc characters, lgbt+ characters, the book deals with depression and anxiety from the main character’s point of view, deals with grief and death of loved ones, and just—so much
there is very mild romance which i loved
the character development is *chefs kiss* and the entire plot revolving around crows (as i’m a bird lover to start with) is astonishing

definitely a book to read to get out of a reading slump. it was a very easy read and with that, of course with a predictable outcome. it was still a very cute book i just didn’t enjoy it so much for ME. if you’re looking for a book with bisexual representation or just a diverse book in general i would 100% recommend this one. it deals greatly with [internalized] biphobia. i just don’t think i enjoyed it as much because i do not consider myself as bisexual so i did not relate to the main character as others may.

this was an awesome read. it’s a very diverse book with a main plot of solving a murder case and a side plot of friendship between human and dog. there are only a couple things i wasn’t a big fan of: how it kept jumping from stories/ flashbacks to current day without warning; it made the reading a little confusing at times. also, the very last part of the ending. i feel as if it was a good ending as a whole, but the last few pages just didn’t flow well with how the rest of the book was.

this was a very cute YA book. it was a very easy read and although i wasn’t fond of how the ending was, i would definitely recommend this to someone just wanting a cute and quick LGBTQIA+ book
