Although a bit slow to begin with, it picked up and i ended up enjoying it more than the first!
I don’t really like Alina, she’s kind of annoying.
Do i like Darkling? Undecided.
I’m more team Nikolai than Mal, he’s a cop out.

I can’t wait to read the 3rd one!

Not being a fantasy lover i was a bit hesitant going into this but a very good friend recommended it to me and i trust her opinion. That still never braced me for how much i would love this book! The whole world building that Leigh created in this was incredible and i believe it was actually sorta based around Russia? All the characters in this were great and although we did have our baddies, i still really enjoyed them as characters! It was pretty fast paced snd kept me turning pages to see what happened next! I can’t wait to continue with this series!

P.s. I’m really bad at writing reviews, i never know what to write in them without directly giving spoilers

I really enjoyed this book and for once i never actually seen the twist coming! The only other thing i can say i wanted from this book was to hear just a little bit from Millicent’s side, its the only thing i felt was missing. All in all, i thought this was a really good book and would definitely recommend it to mystery/thriller/murdery book fans.

I did enjoy this one, i listened to it all in one sitting, maybe not as the first but that was partly due to the fact it was set in Edinburgh and i live an hour away. I still really enjoyed the story and the characters though!

I really enjoyed this, for once i never figured out who done it and who was behind it all. This has been the mystery i’ve been looking for for a while. I loved how it was set in New York and with “the rich”. Definitely recommend.

I loved this! I was looking for a good mystery and i finally found it! I can usually work out who done what etc but i never seen anything coming in this book and found myself shocked and most of the revelations towards the end! I’m on a Ruth Ware hype right now!

Yeah this was just ok, o felt it could have been so much more than it was, instead it focused heavily on her webcomic. The writing was also very young at most points. I would recommend the physical copy of this over the audiobook if you choose to read this as the constant usernames getting mentioned gets a but annoying.

Wow.... what a disappointment this was. This story could have been so much more than it was but the execution of it was just terrible. By the second half i was so bored and just kept rolling my eyes, it was like the author couldn’t wait to get it finished and just put everything together in a rush. It started off well but unfortunately, the character development, explanation of The Tox and plot background were bad, it could have all been explained so much better. Characters were mentioned at the beginning of the book maybe once or twice then brought in further along as if they were one of the main characters? And Reese’ Dad? He went missing years ago and then suddenly just reappears... as a tree? Then never really mentioned again? Ok. The romance in this story (if you can call that) also just appears out of nowhere and never really explained either. I just don’t think there was much thought to much going into this book, it was a great idea overall but the delivery just ruined the whole thing.
So disappointed because this was one of my most anticipated releases this year.

I hate giving such bad reviews of a book but we can’t love them all i suppose.
