as someone who grew up contemporaneously with buffy summers, i'm interested in the premise here but unsure if i understand the reasoning behind the changes that were made — or find them more interesting than the original. i suppose i'd hoped for a tighter exploration of what the timeline change would do to the source material, versus just giving the writer free reign to make up their own shit. feels more like a remix than a retelling? anyway, i do want to read the rest of the series so, we'll see!
