Maomé - uma biografia do profeta by Karen Armstrong

This one is ideal book for those who want to read fast. A quick read, with enjoyable writing style and opinion on multiple things at once. But it left me disappointed while talking about two main events in it. Karen made a point about Satan being forgiven by the end of day and referred her opinion to Quran’s chapter seven’s verses. Well she needs to read full context of it. That was such a weak point of her to casually saying something so big.
Second disappointment was the way she narrates the event of Miraj.

Why the hell one would write about something one doesn’t know about? How can you pen down things on a sacred personality whose every word is considered authentic & holds meaning.
Stupidest book I ever read.

This book should be name something else. I find the topic it address lacks a lot of things. I thought there going to be a great effort or debate on the topic of ‘khatam-e-Nabuat (PBUH)’ but it hardly talks about it and then jump on the spiritual voyage of a young guy that I find relatable. You never know when your life began changing. I find it beautiful how he gradually started to grow from being a spoiled brat to a kind man. Apart from that there was nothing appealing. Not only the author left the topic unattended it too treat it like secondary plot of the story.
You can’t just add few pages in the beginning & then two pages by the end of novel to justify your title’s theme. I’m puzzled after reading it.

A beautiful read that shares personal experience of a person who went through a lot. First part of the book was interesting and readable while the second part turn out a bit boring but overall the book is incredible
