- The siblings thing is still weird
- I do not like the Simon Clary thing … I don’t like, it makes Simon more annoying to me
- Maia !!! I love her .. I forgot how sad her backstory was. They kind of gloss over it. And she’s only 15 in this book !!! Wtf
- Alec’s gay panic and terrible lying skills to Jace - page 78 - paraphrasing
- J - Is that a bite?
- A - No !! I just went for a walk by myself to clear my head *cover his “bite” while beet red*
- J - And got bit? By a vampire?
- A - No! Of course not! … I fell

- Magnus already being there to heal Jace at the City of Bones
- Alec being all ‘I know who will save him, Magnus will save him, he sooo helpful and cool and nice, he saved me too’ - the gall, in front of his mother too !! HAAA

- man Simon is very inquisitive and good at feeling people out
- “Not Ragnor Fell the exotic dancer”
- Sebastian’s episode kissing clary should have really been questioned a bit more …
- I’m re reading those books and all I can think is how stupid they all seem. Like I get it hindsight and all that but man! Like how have they not figured some of these things out yet
- “I should want to protect you from the sort of bots who want to do with you exactly what I want to do” like ew… but like also swoon
- “ Tell me now that you’re not a mister. Tell me there nothing wrong with you. And tell me you would want me even if you didn’t have demon blood.” Because I don’t have demon blood. And I still and you. AHHHHHH SOOOO GOOD
- Oh no. I know what’s going to happen and I don’t like it
- Demons everywhere. Bodies everywhere. Alec: “why didn’t you call me back?” Really …
- I love Magnus so much. “Someone should have told you the wards are down. Luke tell him the wards are down”
- Sebastian being homophobic on top of everything wouldn’t have surprised me. Shadow hunters just kind of scream queer to me … very wrong though
- “She’d wondered why she’d ever thought trusting someone who wore that much eyeliner was a good idea.”
- Like so many times they get so close to figuring out the truth but just don’t quite get there. Hodges doing mid sentence. The taste of their blood. The weird familiarity. The Mum is still in that bloody coma.
- Does anyone else feel that Alec is a bit autistic coded
- Jaces letter to clary … bawled
- Luke and Jocelyn are kind of cute
- Sizzy!!!!!
- Alec kissing Magnus in front of everyone !!!! Ugh so cute
- Jace & Sebastian’s fight is so funny to imagine like they jumped 20 feet into the air and battled on tree branches
- Izzy being a badass
- Clary and Jace will do anything to see the other live
- I don’t know why I don’t realise/remember that Valentine dies in this book. I didn’t realise he wasn’t still the like main villain in the other three too. Like I knew he died but not so soon I guess
