I absolutely loved this book from beginning to the end. It's super dark but omg I needed a book like this 30 years ago.  I will be recommending this book to all of my friends for sure.

Another excellent book from Alexandria House. I really loved how Drayvon and Stevie are together. I also love how Dravyon was able to finally stand up and realize what was happening and through his relationship he became stronger.

This book was short and cute. I really love how it focused on the power of friendship. And that a person doesn’t need to conform to other person’s standards to be powerful. I am honestly looking forward to the second book that is about to drop this year.

This book was a rollercoaster ride.  It's hella dark and it's not for the weak of heart.  PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE TRIGGER WARNINGS.  Now, I was leary of the synopsis and that is why I didn't read it but something told me to give it a try and I'm so glad that I did. I loved this book from beginning to end and I can not WAIT to finish the entire series.

This book was excellent.  This is the type of book that hits you once you finish it. You don't get the full effect when you are reading but once you process it? You can't stop thinking about it. I absolutely recommend this book as an introduction to African speculative fiction.

I watched the movies and I actually remembered enjoying the first one (and hating the 2nd one) so I decided that I would actually sit down and read the book.  The book was okay in the first half, but then in the second half Lewis's sexism and his heavy-handed religious metaphors really showed their behind. I also hate that Edmund really didn't get any crap from his family for betraying them.  I heard that this series gets worse so I will not be reading further.
