Admiringly this took longer to get into then I want to admit. But I’m glad I stuck it out. The narrator did a great job! But my mood was definitely a factor at my original lack of enjoyment.
This had everything I love in a YA novel, slow burn from away attraction. Vast world building that was enthralling. And questionable people who you aren’t sure of they’re good or evil or both.

My thoughts 💭 :
I *know* this might be a shocker but I LOVED this novel. RomCom is never my go too but a good second chance novel I enjoy and the blurb drew me in.
Emerson and Theo are childhood friends who grew close close then one unforeseen event in Emersons life tore them apart for 10 years.
I devoured this audiobook. The narrators did an amazing job at really capturing the characters and feelings that I was grooving away in my greenhouse and found myself daydreaming certain events being narrated.

If you enjoy second chance love, miscommunication, destination locations as well at character development this is it.

The cover and the blurb is what drew me into this story. There was so much promise, thank you Macmillan Audio and Wednesday books for the opportunity to read and review this copy early.

My thoughts are my own:
I wanted to love this story so much as a Romantasy set during the Civil War but add a sprinkle of magic, vampires and star-crossed love sounded just up my alley of loves.

Sadly it fell flat. There was sections where it was so much repetitive back and forth of hatred between the two MCs. Which do not get me wrong I love enemies to lovers, but this was too much for me.

Overall, Angel Pean and Jay Ben Markson the narrators of this audiobook did this story justice that held my attention enough that I did not DNF this book.

I just do not believe I was the target audience for this book.

When She was Me is a debut author and you wouldn't notice. I was enthralled in this story that by the time I hit the ending I was SHOOK/shocked. Twin sisters, Cassie and Lenora have that "twin thing", you know that bond people sometimes talk about. Their past was a rocky one, so they chose the secluded life in the woods. All was okay until a teenager in the cabin next door went missing.

This story is a page turning that you just want to keep reading so you can find out if the evidence presented is the truth or a false reality.

I highly recommend this story to anyone who loves a good blood pumping murder mystery.

The narrator Imani Jade Powers did a wonderful job at capturing the story and what emotion needed to be portrayed when. I devoured this audiobook and I was left amazed.

This new to me author put out a fascinating book.
Nothing But Bones story follows Nelon “Nails” McKenna. It started off with a punch (pun intended in the prologue. For 10+ years he has been repaying that debt back. He found himself in hot water that even his boss could not help him with.

This story was fun, two strangers on the run with another POV sprinkled in. Since finishing it appears this is a prequel to an existing series. It explains the lack of character development and explanation backgrounds. But the world building was vast and interesting.

Darling Girls is a whirlwind, mind boggling, heart wrenching novel that makes you second guess everything.
A Multi-POV thriller that keeps you on your toes. Each backstory to tie together the whole story of a who-dunnit after a body was found under the Foster home the main characters lives in for a period of time.
I highly recommend this story to anyone who loves a great plot, character development with plenty of twists.
