I finally read and started this series after much thinking and reading reviews. I will never trust 1 star reviews again.

I don't like to run and this book made me run in circles.
So many questions left unanswered and just... such a waste of writing.
POINTS I NEVER UNDERSTOOD:
A) What's the point of the grandmother's memory flashbacks?
B) Too much unnecessary romance, too little discoveries of the truth.
C) Abel Lukumi?!
D) Was this a horror, romance, thriller or what?!
Ending was just too mediocre. In the end, it was all just scientist and stuff. Like... just... so confusing. I don't know what the heck are the characters abilities supposed to be or what they could be. Just says one can read minds, can kill, can heal... but how were they all discovered?! The only explanation I got was a page!!! A FREAKING PAGE THAT BARELY EXPLAINED IT. ugh. I'm so annoyed I judge books by its covers and now I'm here, annoyed.

"Remember who you are. Every step of the way down, and every step of the way back. Remember who you are. And that you're mine." -Rowan Whitethorn
Rowan is just pure as his love for Aelin.
I. Am. Screaming!!!
I usually do not write reviews but this had my heart feel so much emotion. I read this along with Tower of Dawn and what an adventure.
This whole journey is so painfully beautiful. The ending of this book was majestic! Everyone coming together for the smart-ass assassin and queen!

The weight this story left in my heart is too much.
Lily is such a strong person for doing whatever she can to leave before it got worse. My heart hurts because she didn't have a happy ending with Ryle. But I'm also glad she found her way back to Atlas.
There was too much Ryle here that you'd think they'll end up together. Abuse is not something you can give an excuse to.

"I'm thinking that I was a lonely, hopeless person, and I might have fallen in live with the first thing that showed me kindness and safety. And I'm thinking maybe he knew that - maybe not actively, but maybe he wanted to be that person for someone. And maybe that worked for who I was befofe. Maybe it doesn't work for who - what I am now."
-----Says Feyre. Girl, I wouldn't even call that falling in love. He used you first before he liked you. I'm mad that you're not mad enough when you found out about it.
The best part of this book is every single interaction Feyre had with Rhysand and his court. It painted such clear and emotional connection compared to book 1. Tamlin was trying too hard while Rhysand just had to exist.
