Well, that was a disapointment. All 4 other books up until this point have been 5 star reads for me. But this one, it just felt so long, boring, and full of people travelling and getting nowhere. I really struggled to finish this book, and it's kind of put me off wanting to read teh next one.
I'm not sure if I'm just broed with the series now. OR, if this was just really not as good as the others?
I found myself reading lots of other books whilst reading this as needed something interesting to keep my attention. (I ending up only reading this at work during lunch)
I love the characters, and enjoyed the slight differences between the book and the TV show. Other than that I was just constantly counting the days down to when it would finish. Shame!
I almost gave this a 2.5 but a 3 is fair. - Not sure when I'll start the next one though, if ever?!

well I really tried to read it... started it twice and twice quit as it's so boring.
I hear it gets good near the end. But after 250 pages it's not for me.
characters are not great. and hard to be interested even who's who most of the time.
only interesting one is Krystal. But there isn't enough of her story to keep me going.
don't think I've given up on a book before but this is not a great read at all ;(

Pretty much what you would expect from Dr Seuss. Nonsense and rhyme, but weird and fun!

Very enjoyable read.
Got this book for my Son at Christmas as heard it won some awards and was a good read.
Read it to him and his Brother (9 and 12 yrs), and we all really enjoyed it.
Quite creepy and surreal, but still feels real enough to be something you could see happening!
Worth a read and quite an easy one to read allowed (as I'm not great at doing that sometimes)
Glad we picked this one up.

Another book I bought at Christmas for my son (11 yrs).
He hadn't started reading it by the Summer so I gave it a go... and told him how good it was.
So he ending up reading it and enjoying it also!
Love the setting and the darkness of this one. Also, the ending it bitter sweet!

The Beast Quest stories are a series of books that I am reading to my children at night. They are not particularly well written, or anything special. However, they are easy to read and contain short chapters well suited to reading before they go to sleep. Also, as there are a series of them it is nice to collect and always good to have a continued set of characters to follow.
