The Spirit In The Crypt by Alexander Lound is the 1st book in Johnny Roberts series, a YA Horror.
The Bastard of Istanbul by Elif Shafak is a historical fiction about which the author said, "I was put on trial for 'denigrating Turkishness'...I could have been given up to a three year prison sentence." If that doesn't convince you to give it a read, I don't know what will.

Death By Curiosity written by Lisa Mathews is a "lighthearted crime mystery" which galvanized my attention because it was about a 'witch'.I was curious to know how the author would make the existence of a witch in the real world possible and I'm telling you, I was not disappointed.
Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman is a debut book which certainly did not seem like one.The writer is witty and always on point!
It Ends With Us by CoHo in a nutshell: Pretty engaging, vulgar at quite a lot of points where you either skipped or threw up (I preferred skipping), too unreal, clichéd.

Compared to Shafak's other two books I've read, this one was just mehhh. If you've never read her before, you might really like this book but I think I know what she's capable of (i.e. writing master pieces) and this one just didn't reach that point.
I have mixed feelings about it. It's definitely not my favourite by Elif Shafak. Now because it's Shafak, we already know the way of writing is pure beauty. How she captures the surroundings in her sweet words is literally mesmerising.
✨Story: Leila runs away from her home, becomes a prostitute & is found dead from where her story begins.
