A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens
2.0
I'M SORRY, JACK EDWARDS, I SHOULD'VE TRUSTED YOU!!!
This does not deliver at all on its promises. I was waiting for The French Revolution and I got maybe a chapter and a half of it.
I really wanted to like this book but in reality it was tedious to finish. To what degree? Well...I'd rather read Les Miserables Unabridged again.
During the first quarter of it all I was trying to decipher was ARE THEY IN FRANCE OR ENGLAND???
At the beginning it just throws people at you and by the end you are just sick of them. At one point I thought that Jerry and Lorry were the same person.
It spends too much time badly establishing characters and places. By the time the real action starts you could feel that even the author got bored of this story. It has no business being longer than a novella.
