Some people say that the book is more contemporary that a romance and I strongly disagree with this
A romance need to have character who exist outside of the romance, with their backstory their fears, their quality etc... Before that I can cared about a romance I need to care about them as people and I think Emily Henry did a great job with that

My problem is that I was not interrest in the romance so this book seem during a eternity I truly have difficulty to finish it

But I understand why people like it just was not for me

If I know was this book was about i probably not read it tbh
There's a lot a good quotes
I was confused of why the french always talk in English
Loveable characters: No

I wanted to read this cos it's a classic about mental illness. I knew when I started this book that it's gonna be racism and whaou 15 times the n word in one chapter. That's sick.
Fatphobia, racism and homophobia she is really detestable.
Without the fact that's the mc is a absolute jerk the book is okay.
I think it was well written, I love the way that depression is written
I really like seeing how Esther talk about the place of women in society.
But sometimes it'd was really boring it could have been so much better if it's was shorter.
I also really hate the ending
Esther is set to a asylum after trying to take her own life she do shock treatment and then everything is over she's fine.
