Allan Karlsson, escaped from his room at the Old Folk’s home just before his one hundredth birthday is to be celebrated in the lounge. Since then, he embarked on a memorable journey full of surprise because “Allan may be old, but he is also one hell of a rascal and he damned well does exactly what he feels like”. Along with that, the story of his younger years slowly unfolded… It seems to be a promising storyline til it became a show-off with a handful of characters and too smooth of a life to be told.

The whole book is literally about Anne meddling in other folks’ businesses and sometimes I missed Anne in previous books. The charm of Anne is not really there and somehow I feel like this is written during the time she was not happy to move forward with the series. I sadly had to skim some chapters.
