I was so excited to read this book since I read the first 3 chapters as a sample. Suffice to say my interest was piqued and I was hooked by the premise of the plot. Although it was packed with betrayals, twists and turns, I personally thought the many excerpts about the “movies” in the books were confusing. I felt like every single one of their situations and movies should’ve been laid out in the beginning before throwing them out in random sequence and having the reader put together who’s story/movie the piece was about. I don’t even think I’m quite sure what each of the character’s movies were but maybe that’s my own fault. I personally thought the MC was very paranoid and went to extreme lengths to feel safe and made her that much more in likable to me. But hey I’ve never been in that situation so what do i know. I was lost from around 190-240 but once Chrissy said who the emails were from, I figured out who was really behind it. When Lynnette gets knocked out and Death is introduced, all the pieces fell together and made sense. I enjoyed how it all played out.

never understood why people can’t just communicate when their relationship and friendships are on the line but then again I suck at communicating when I’m upset

I am now a certified Freida McFadden lover! I read The housemaid last month and wow, this book TRUMPS it. Wow, just W O W.
I was SO SURE that I had it figured out, I was putting the blame on ONE person because hey, everything seemed to be connected! I really thought I had it pinned down to either the main character, my suspect #2, or a deranged copycat that was much close to the FMC than we think. I just…Wow, Freida girl YOU HAD ME ON A CHOKEHOLD. I could not stop reading! I had to find out wtf was happening!!! And holy shit you - YOU REALLY FCKD ME UP IN A GOOD WAY. That was so freaking good! Even towards the last chapters I ended up believing that maybe it was another character that I overlooked?? NOPE. Goodness that was great. I always love when a mystery/thriller ends with a complete happy-ish ending. I personally think there was one major plot hole that was skipped over but I’m choosing to overlook it for that last excerpt from the killer’s POV.
