This is literally PEAK fictional masterpiece right here literally my eyebags have never been bigger.

ORKA BETTER NOT FUCKING DIE.
I am anguished. The writing and plot is both peak. My 2025 year lineup is so FIRE

Also I have to admitπŸ’”πŸ’”πŸ’” Elvar and BiΓ³rr fr at the same boatπŸ’” But I like Elvar MORE I DON'T CARE I LIKE ELVAR MORE. The other 2 protagonists (Orka and Varg) I'd actually make myself a thrall and serve my life for them. Gudvarr can kill himself

Everybody and their mamas know that I've been reading and pausing this since december 2024. The thing is this book is so good that it activated my avoidant attachment issues.

Elvar is getting huzz, Orka is aura farming, and Varg is literally thorfinn from vinland saga, My brain is in heaven. I will not CARE about nobodys opinions in this.

Orka my goat please dont die plsplsplspls 😭😭😭😭😭

Did not finish book. Stopped at 13%.
The mmc is a rebellion leader again. 95% of the books I've read this year are exactly like this. The book seems good but I want another dynamic going on. The only rebellion leader I'll not get tired of is sheftu fine shyt. Maybe I just dont fw this book because Mara, Daughter of the Nile, did it better. OOPsπŸ’”πŸ’”

This is the most ancient egypt novel that ever egypted in my understanding.

Sheftu is FINESHYT❀️ I wanna kick him in the balls though for not crying to death when Mara was "in trouble".  I think the author absolutely nailed on how they explained the settings and the plot of the story. This childrens book in the 1950s is like my peak lexile level. I'm a dumbass and that makes writing beautiful.

I'm quite late in the function. I'm guessing 59% of the fans of this book are now working 9 to 5, 41% are in senior homes, and the remaining 1 percent is me and some 10 year old in the library. The statistics are truly making me depressed that I cannot talk about this book to anybody my age. I'm not saying I'm edgy for this. Ain't nobody I know will read ts. I found my film buddy, but the book buddy is still yet to appear in my lifeπŸ’”

I cried 2 times for 7 days each in an avg span of 40 minutes.

I genuinely can't put what turmoil this book has given me. It broke me down, built me up, disintegrated my soul, and built me up again, stronger. New beliefs, it changed me.

I prayed to the saints and Jesus himself while my family was wondering what stupid stuff has got me worked up again, that nothing would happen to my favorite ship. The ANGUISH that I felt at 3am knowing fully I had to deliver a speech at 7am. Absolutely preposterous.

The hardship of the characters in this novel was shown beautifully. The complex dynamics of their relationships was astonishing. Or maybe I'm just glazing Khaled Hosseini, which is rightfully deserved.

It's rare for me to put in a slightly formal review. I cuss a lot. But I'm purely so broken down that it turned on my essay section of the brain. Mariam & Laila I love you. Women of Afghanistan, I love you all. πŸ‡¦πŸ‡«πŸ‡¦πŸ‡«

Special MENtion: Tariq my goat. this guy did NOT marry anyone, went to Kabul knowing Afghanistan is in war to find his lover, knowing his lover being dead is probably 85%. This is an absolute rare thing for a man. What a goat. Love him for that.

I am soo dissapointed

This felt like s8 game of thrones. Nothing important, might as well just skip this book and wait for the 3rd or you're quite literally wasting your time. Support my Filipino authorsπŸ’” I waited a whole year for tsπŸ’”

The Substance (2024) featuring daenerys targaryen and our final boss is some random ass npc.

The setting and the romance subplot was decent. But why the fuck is THAT the main antagonist. We don't see them throughout the book they just appeared outta nowhere😭

I get the main idea yes revenge is not for the WEAKπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ
