What a Gentleman Wants by Caroline Linden

I usually reserve my romance five stars for Meredith Duran only but this was so delightful and I am so depressed that it absolutely earns it for cheering me up. I love this dynamic and I loved that at several points the author clearly took pains to avoid lazy plotting, which made the characters feel even more well drawn. This book felt structured a little differently than romance usually is (maybe it's more the pace? Idk) and it absolutely worked for me. Just enough angst and probably the best executed UST I've read in romance in quite some time. There were also some really lovely secondary characters I look forward to reading about more.

Pacing felt a bit off toward the end but I did love the Suffering so ,,

I looooved this don't @ me but I love Kleypas' beta heroes so much more than her alphas. I also loved that the Misunderstanding wasn't drawn out in a ridiculous way. And the very end with all the wallflowers was a nice touch.

A quiet and perfectly lovely read. Wonderful ending to the series.
