If I could describe this in one image it would be that one bookmark that says “I don’t watch porn, I read it like a fcking lady.”

Outside of its spiciness, the story is okay. There are troubling undertones to the story that may leave you uncomfortable, especially if you’re not new to the religious trauma that is the Catholic Church. Personally, if the pieces that helped make the plot weren’t so dark, I’d like it more. It’s obvious people love this book for its

This was a hard read. I was expecting a hopeful love story with a tragic end. I know it’s meant to be a sad story, but there’s no warning for the talk and action of unaliving. Death is part of every page in this book, if I had been given a better understanding of this book, I would not have read it without knowing I was in a mindset capable of handling it. I’m glad I read this before some close friends so I could give them the trigger warnings.

It’s definitely YA, something I would’ve thought was near perfect when I was 13. But I did love how it made me feel that young again, reading a book like this. I loved the magic system and the voice actors for the audiobook did an outstanding job! I’ve always lived French connections in magic realms, I don’t know why. Altogether, yes it is juvenile but I loved the nostalgia of it and still enjoyed the world anyway. It’s a quick book, only 50-something chapters.

I loved this book! It was way too short, I want more!! I can’t wait for the rest of the series to come in now.

I liked it! I know many people think some parts are a bit too much but I’m surprised I wasn’t really that phased. Honestly? I freaking love D. He’s such a golden retriever boy under all the psycho. I love his openness and the fun relationship he has with Roxy. The ending was totally cheesy but I think that’s also why I love it so much??? It was a good sized book, detailed scenes, humor, action, and romance all in one. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for some RH goodness.
