Love these characters. The banter between chloe and red was top level British banter! Was a bit slow at the beginning and I didn't particularly enjoy the weird miscommunication bit at the end hence 4.5 stars but still a good read. Will be looking into thr other 2 books of the Brown sisters

I loved Zara as a character. She was really relatable. Whilst I'm not Bengali (I'm Pakistani) I thoroughly felt for her and understood her anxieties around all the pressures of marriage etc. The main male characters were sooo well written that even I was stuck about who I'd choose in that situation haha.
Adam fully reminded me of how so many of us go through th phase of liking the guy who probably isn't good for us. And Hamza is the dependable guy who is perfect on paper but maybe not in actuality.
The ending left me feeling a little unsatisfied hence the slight drop in score, it felt too open and not closed off as I typically like in romances but loved the book and all the characters regardless. I listened to the audiobook and the voice actor was amazing too!!

I loved this read. Samira was such an enjoyable MFC, she was incredibly witty and loved the humour. Whilst not Arab, I am Muslim so I found myself agreeing with so many elements around the marriage arrangements etc. I loved so many of the characters too. The audibook narration was lovely aswell which added to that!

I'm not sure why i thought I would enjoy this as I wasn't fond on Emma when I read it years ago. But I thought the desi twist might make it enjoyable. It was not.
The language is heavily shifting between modern day language and classical which makes it a little disjointed and hard to stay focused.
Humaira is also quite annoying but Emma was the same so I kind of get that part. I don't like all the name dropping of brands. I know she's a rich heiress type character but still seems excessive.
I decided to read this via audiobook as the description seemed interesting but even the narration is grating on me.
I tried to give it a go because saw other reviews said it gets better as it goes along but my gosh, its such a struggle. I can't read a book where I'm not enjoying at least either the character, the plot or the language/prose. Might try physical or ebook again sometime in futur but for now, it's an unfortunate DNF for me

A lot of the miscommunication issues were really tiresome and off-putting at times. I just kept wracking my brains of "why can't you both just speak to each other". But I appreciate they are young adults, newly wed and trying to figure things out. I stuck with it toll the end as I loved the characters in book 1 and wanted to see how their story ended, I'm happy with the conclusion but was definitely a rough read

Very slow and I struggled with the audiobook narrators, voices were irking me. I may try the physical book again at some point in future but for now, DNF
