He Gets That From Me by Jacqueline Friedland
4.0
Maggie, a young mom, decides to be a surrogate to her money so she can go back to school. She carries twins for a couple, Chip and Donovan. 10 years later, some questions arise from a Relativity test the twins took, leading the fertility clinic to ask Maggie for a follow-up DNA test.
The story was so unique and fascinating, and I couldn’t wait to keep reading to find out how it all turned out. It took me a little while to really get into the story and I felt the book bored me a little at first. But as the story progressed, I got really into the book and couldn’t put it down. The book did an excellent job of exploring the theme of family and what it really means to be a family. The characters were compelling and complex; they were flawed, but lovable.

Shattered Desires by Victoria Ellis

This book will take you on an emotional rollercoaster, in the best way possible. I was not expecting to cry in this book, but I 100% did.
Declan's childhood best friend, Spence, who she hasn't seen in years, gets a job working for Declan's band. Declan had feelings for Spence when they were young, seeing him again brings back old memories. But Declan's ex-boyfriend, Kade, who broke her heart when she was a teenager, comes back to town, putting himself back in Declan's life. Kade also happens to be Spence's older brother...
I'm usually not a fan of love triangles, but this one was done so well. I could feel the chemistry between Declan and Kade, and Declan and Spence. I loved Declan as a character, she was so independent and badass. I read almost the entire book in one sitting, I couldn't put it down. It's such a great rockstar romance, I can't wait for the next book!

Binding Rose by Ivy Fox

The story follows Rosa who is forced to marry Tiernan, a man from a rival mafia, to keep the peace. They don't meet until they are literally at the alter saying I do. They don't get along well at all as both were forced into this arrangement.
This was my first mafia romance read and I wasn't sure how I would like it, but wow was I pleasantly surprised. The writing was amazing, the author did an amazing job. The character development for Rosa was done so well. Her growth from the beginning to the end was incredible. At first she is very skittish, but you see her grow and become a woman who will not be told what to do. Colin and Shay have my heart, oh my god

Triple Threat by K. Webster is one of the best books I’ve read recently!
Landry’s father locks her away in their penthouse, doesn’t allow her to leave, even just to go shopping, and doesn’t let her have any friends or date. She’s eighteen but cannot leave because she does not want to leave her deaf little sister alone with him. Her father decides to let her go to college, where she meets Ford, a gorgeous man who seems like he has a split personality.
The Mannford triplets, Sparrow, Scout, and Sully, are tasked by their uncle to dupe the daughter of a tech millionaire. The three must pretend to be the same person, Ford Mann, and interact with her at different times, Sparrow at college, Sully at her home tutoring her younger sister, and Scout working at her father’s business.
This book was absolutely amazing, I couldn’t put it down. I wasn’t planning to read it all in one sitting but I ended up doing just that because I really couldn’t stop reading. When I picked this book up I didn’t realize it was a spin off of another series (Skyscraper Cinderella), so I’ll definitely have to go back and read those. I loved the plot of this book, it was so unique and so interesting. It was amazingly well written, and I loved the characters. I felt for Landry and the horrible situation she was in. Her little sister, Della, was so adorable and the way she was treated by her father broke my heart. I found myself falling in love with Sully and Sparrow, not so much Scout. I was on the edge of my seat the entire book, needing to know what was going to happen. I cannot wait for the sequel, I need to read it now and find out what happens. It was so good, I highly recommend this book.
Seriously, go read it right now!

Decker: Changing the Play by Connor Crais, Kayley Loring

Super cute sports romance!
Hannah inherits a football team from her estranged father. She moves to Boston to do her job as new owner. There she meets Decker, the star quarterback for the Boston Tomcats. Johnny Decker, AKA Decker the Panty Wrecker, has changed his ways and decided to focus on football instead of getting into women's pants. Hannah and Decker can't stop arguing, but they also can't stop thinking about each other.
This was a super cute sports romance. It was pretty light, but did deal a bit with grief. I really loved Hannah and Decker's relationship, they were complete opposites but were so good together. I love the whole "forbidden" love trope, she's his boss since she now owns the team. Decker was super hot. He was very cocky, but it worked so well. Overall, this was a great read if you want a light, happy sports romance with some spice.
