This “one year Bible” actually took me two years to get through, but I got through it! I can officially say that I have read the Bible all the way through and I am proud of myself for that! I plan on reading through this again in the new year. Definitely recommend it to anyone who’s been trying to read their Bible, but struggles to stick to it. The daily readings in this Bible only take about 15 minutes!

This book was very middle of the road for me. I was honestly expecting more since I’ve heard such good things about Tessa Bailey and this was my first Tessa Bailey book. I also had to skip through a lot of the spicy scenes because I just found them cringey. Idk. This one just wasn’t it for me.

Emily Lynn Shephard KNOWS how to write!!! ✨ I love this author’s writing style so much. The way she weaves together her stories in a way that is so comprehensive and fun is insane!!
I ARC read A Gamble with Glamour which is the second book in The Name of the Game series. I LOVED everything about The Name of the Game and overall, really enjoyed and had a fun time with A Gamble with Glamour as well.
I think the characters in this book are so much fun. There’s characters I LOVE and characters I HATE or at least strongly dislike. Haha. But I’m having such a good time with ALL of them!! I loved getting more of all of them in this book.
I think A Gamble with Glamour is a little slower paced than The Name of the Game, but it’s still such a fun, lighthearted book just like the first one.
There’s romance, there’s SCANDALS galore, there’s drama, there’s Vegas, there’s art heists ✨✨✨
It was just a fun time and honestly, I will be reading probably every book I can get my hands on by this author.
Go read this series!! ✨
Also, Emily, I need Book 3 ASAP 😂😅

Full transparency: I decided to pick this book up after the author reached out to me about reading an ARC for the second book in this series and agreeing to reading it for her! I went into this series pretty much completely blind, but ultimately ABSOLUTELY loved the first book!
I loved the way the author described her characters. I felt like she painted a super clear picture of what they looked like, especially Celeste and Elena (our two FMCs).
I COULD NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN!!! I ate it up!!!
Drama, drama, drama!! Haha it was honestly giving me like Pretty Little Liar vibes or a TV show similar.
I LOVED the drama!!
I also loved all the references to The Great Gatsby throughout the book! The Great Gatsby is one of my favorite books so it was fun to see it being mentioned throughout this book. ◡̈ This story does give Great Gatsby vibes in different way.
I think this book was the PERFECT YA book and I cannot wait to dive into Book 2!
