Brunhild the Dragonslayer, Vol. 1 by Yuiko Agarizaki

I AM GAGGED.
The positive note 📝 the story is very compelling. I really liked the mixing of the Christian story in this, in addition to the dragons, which may quite bother a few or many Christians as Dragons in the scripture are on the opposite side (please do correct me if I'm wrong).
Anyway, the plot was simply intriguing to me. The relationship which I THOUGHT WAS WHOLESOME WAS NOT ALL. That's where the parts I hated so much.
Supposedly a 5⭐️ but because of that, it's now a 4⭐️🙈
Thank you Yen Press for the e-arc copy via Edelweiss ✨️

The Queen of Spades by Alexander Pushkin
3.0
The intriguing style of storytelling is this story's strength. It really did utilize it well from the beginning, the middle, up until the end. There's power in something unknown, and Alexander really played these two well.
I also noticed the social commentary here on society, which even more highlights the parts where Hernán and the Countess scene, which, for me, was quite something.
The presentation of human nature as falling into something like greed and obsession in this story is something that I find here quite weak or, somehow, not enough for me to be awestruck. The same goes with the descent of madness or the supernatural elements here. However, it was fascinating to me as well.
The three, seven, ace, and queen of spades, was also fascinating to me. I really liked the symbolism there.
I've envisioned the vision here, but the presentation to me or the overall construction of the story is lacking.

The Liminal Zone, Vol. 2 by Junji Ito
3.0
I'm super excited to get my hands on this arc, and I was finally granted to get my first ever Junji Ito arc.
As much as I wanted to like this, it felt short in the storytelling. It wasn't that gripping for me and striking enough, unlike the first volume.
It was a so-so for me, I was a little bit disappointed, if I'm being honest. Not that I didn't enjoy it. It was just underwhelming and lacking in those things I pointed out.
Thank you, Viz Media and Eden Sugay, for approving me on this arc.

What I Should Have Said by R.L. Atkinson
fast-paced
- Plot- or character-driven? A mix
- Strong character development? No
- Loveable characters? No
- Diverse cast of characters? It's complicated
- Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

It was my first military romance novel for a while now, and I was thoroughly disappointed with how it turns out, considering it was a 500-page novel of disappointments.
I truly understand the circumstances the characters had, the introverted and traumatised FMC, the full of responsibilities, and the traumatised military man. I get it.
What my beef was the fact that THE BOOK TRULT WASTED THE POTENTIAL OF PLOT. There are too many misunderstandings, little to no character developments, and the same goes for the absolute igaf parts on the ending. It didn't give justice at all to the conflict and ended fast despite the 500 pages.
Like, I read this in a day, so basically, it's easy to read and like I read this fast to just get over it and hope for the best, so that's that.
I don't know. I'm definitely disappointed, but will I check the 2nd book? I probably would just quench my disappointment or add more salt on the wound.
T.W. Sexual harassment, death, kidnapping

LVOE.: Poems, Epigrams & Aphorisms by Atticus Poetry, Atticus Poetry

LVOE is sectioned into 5 parts, and among all those collections, I made 16 bookmarks in total for this collection: her (5), love 5), wander (1), soul (5). Sadly, I don't think I had fave (will recheck again 🙈).
There's a few ones that I adored and resonated to me but the majority was quite not so striking. The ambience is giving a peaceful atmosphere or a relaxed tone, which really helped me read this in a day. Would I recommend this? Mmmm, I think not so much, if I'm being honest.

Fall In Love, You False Angels by Coco Uzuki
funny
lighthearted

The cover was the main reason I read this book BECAUSE LOOK AT THAT BEAUTY 🤌🏽 Probably one of the prettiest covers I have ever seen in the manga series.
Anyway, the storyline of this manga series reminded me of Kaguya-sama: Love is War, but Fall In Love, You False Angels, is more on the serious type of way execution, whereas Kaguya-sama is more on the comedic route.
The ML of this series is giving me yandere vibes feeling, but soft?
Love the FL as well. She's so fun to be with, and the friend.
There's a bunch of bookmak worthy panels that I bookmarked and screenshotted LOL 😆
Definitely will be continuing this series ♥️
Trigger Warning: I almost forgot to mention that there's a brief child abuse going on here and harassment.
Thank you, Kodansha Comics, for the review copy ♥️
