The Liminal Zone, Vol. 2 by Junji Ito
3.0
I'm super excited to get my hands on this arc, and I was finally granted to get my first ever Junji Ito arc.
As much as I wanted to like this, it felt short in the storytelling. It wasn't that gripping for me and striking enough, unlike the first volume.
It was a so-so for me, I was a little bit disappointed, if I'm being honest. Not that I didn't enjoy it. It was just underwhelming and lacking in those things I pointed out.
Thank you, Viz Media and Eden Sugay, for approving me on this arc.

What I Should Have Said by R.L. Atkinson
fast-paced
- Plot- or character-driven? A mix
- Strong character development? No
- Loveable characters? No
- Diverse cast of characters? It's complicated
- Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

It was my first military romance novel for a while now, and I was thoroughly disappointed with how it turns out, considering it was a 500-page novel of disappointments.
I truly understand the circumstances the characters had, the introverted and traumatised FMC, the full of responsibilities, and the traumatised military man. I get it.
What my beef was the fact that THE BOOK TRULT WASTED THE POTENTIAL OF PLOT. There are too many misunderstandings, little to no character developments, and the same goes for the absolute igaf parts on the ending. It didn't give justice at all to the conflict and ended fast despite the 500 pages.
Like, I read this in a day, so basically, it's easy to read and like I read this fast to just get over it and hope for the best, so that's that.
I don't know. I'm definitely disappointed, but will I check the 2nd book? I probably would just quench my disappointment or add more salt on the wound.

LVOE.: Poems, Epigrams & Aphorisms by Atticus Poetry, Atticus Poetry

LVOE is sectioned into 5 parts, and among all those collections, I made 16 bookmarks in total for this collection: her (5), love 5), wander (1), soul (5). Sadly, I don't think I had fave (will recheck again 🙈).
There's a few ones that I adored and resonated to me but the majority was quite not so striking. The ambience is giving a peaceful atmosphere or a relaxed tone, which really helped me read this in a day. Would I recommend this? Mmmm, I think not so much, if I'm being honest.

Fall In Love, You False Angels by Coco Uzuki

lighthearted

The cover was the main reason I read this book BECAUSE LOOK AT THAT BEAUTY 🤌🏽 Probably one of the prettiest covers I have ever seen in the manga series.
Anyway, the storyline of this manga series reminded me of Kaguya-sama: Love is War, but Fall In Love, You False Angels, is more on the serious type of way execution, whereas Kaguya-sama is more on the comedic route.
The ML of this series is giving me yandere vibes feeling, but soft?
Love the FL as well. She's so fun to be with, and the friend.
There's a bunch of bookmak worthy panels that I bookmarked and screenshotted LOL 😆
Definitely will be continuing this series ♥️
Trigger Warning: I almost forgot to mention that there's a brief child abuse going on here and harassment.
Thank you, Kodansha Comics, for the review copy ♥️

I am a fan of the games in general and as well as berserk. It is just that this serialisation or the first volume wasn't giving for me. I was really looking forward to reading this, so yeah.
Beg, Borrow, or Steal by Sarah Adams
Took me a while to finish this novel (many things happened 🙈) anyway, I'm proud to say that I did after many days of not reading at all.
So, about this book, I was really expecting something like Emily Henry like of feels because this book made me really think of Emily Henry's books while reading, so that's that.
I would like to appreciate that this book touches the struggle of being an oldest sibling. I did like how the book tackles it and presents it in Emily's character, which I really relate to in some aspects.
The dynamics between Emily and Jack were quite okay? There were some flirty moments, but I wasn't just invested in it? Like the book failed to sell it to me, and that left me underwhelming. Like the whole rivalry was a meh to me.
There wasn't really something that made me stop reading and breathe because of the current event in the story. So that's that.
With that being said, Sarah Adam's readers would definitely appreciate this and love this more, I think. 3⭐️
Thank you, PRH International, for the e-arc via Edelweiss.

Presence: A Paranormal Horror Romance by Pen Mucching, Pen Mucching

The first 20% was intriguing enough for me, but the rest was a miss. I wasn't really sold with the horror content like I was expecting, and it turns out to be more of romance with minor horror content, in my opinion.
Thank you, author, for the e-arc opportunity.
