I found the main character to be insufferable, but the concepts behind Ecotopia were fascinating. It would be a whole different experience to go through and read JUST the descriptions, skipping the main character’s monologues.

I was so immersed in the writing that I would frequently forget what the point was, but would be brought back by the end of each chapter. My only gripe is that some of the stories were uninteresting and hard to get through, otherwise loved the book and the perspective it offered.

It was SO GOOD until around 2/3 after the Hunger Games ended. It felt like 1.5 books, completely rushed the ending just like the Hunger Games series.

Great insight, easy read, super informative and contextualizes geography in a wordly perspective. Near the end, though, a good portion of the viewpoints from the author were dated and/or ableist. Otherwise was a great read.

This was a bad book to start with, it feels like a stream of consciousness that would feel more substantial if I had a connection already with any of his other work

Feels like a teenager wrote this with all the goofy sexual innuendos and the corny quips.

Super cool premise but boring execution. When the names of every character started only having consonants and no vowels, I gave up.
