I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I was even theorising what I thought was going on and was pleasantly delighted when my thoughts were incorrect.

I loved Matty and Sherlock’s dynamic throughout the whole book and how both of them had their own ways of being smart,
Matty who was unable to read still managing to copy down the address to give to Sherlock, Matty also helping point out when they were investigating the house the way things were different outside.
I loved Sherlock also taking it into account with his own deductions.

I also especially loved how Sherlock was like you don’t have to come with me and how Matty was like no I may complain but I’m coming with you. Love those boys so much.

I was not expecting both
Jude and his mother to be involved in the building collapse and for her to be so willing for Jude to just kill her husband. It was so wild especially when she had given such a sweet demeanour when Sherlock and Matty met her.

Can’t believe I’m on the last book after this. Don’t want this to end at all, I’ve enjoyed each book so far.

As always I loved this! I loved how much more we saw with Mycroft and Sherlock’s relationship, the thinking and leaning towards the consulting detective we all know. Victoria and Sherlock hurt me so much but
that kiss
at the end made me smile so much. Also Matty!!! I missed my boy!!!

I wasn’t expecting
the paradol chamber
to be involved. I was however very suspicious about a few characters that I didn’t know who to trust 😂

The way it picked up quickly towards the end as well with
Sherlock quite literally fighting for his life
. Can’t wait to see what the next one has in store for me!

I really enjoyed this one.

I wasn’t expecting it to be as intense as it was but oh my god it was great.

I almost yelled and threw the book though
when the letter from Mycroft came and it said that Virginia said yes and then ending it after that???
Andrew what the hell 😭

I have got to read the next one. How am I meant to recover otherwise.

Sherlock really had a rough time throughout this book,
torture and kidnapped
and now at the end of this book
he’s on a ship heading to China
like dang Andrew Lane keeps me on my toes that’s for sure.

Anyway I loved Matty and Sherlock’s dynamic in this book and I was not expecting for
Virginia to kiss Sherlock and for her to do so more than once
those two are adorable. The way that Sherlock’s deductions progressed was really good too.

Can’t wait to get started on the next one, whenever that may be 😂

God I loved this book. Definitely going to one of my all time favourites. Sophia’s fight to the very end to
ending Manfred’s reign
meant so much to me and
stopping the tyranny over the people allowing for women to be free and have actual choices
was so important to me and I’m so proud of her

Did not finish book. Stopped at 5%.
I hated the telling instead of showing aspect of this. It just felt like I should’ve been seeing the things that Simon was mentioning, because those sounded interesting but instead it was just telling which felt lackluster to me.

God I loved this book. The way the four different points of views from each character overlapped. The twists and turns I speculated on but could not confirm.
I didn’t expect for it to be Richard or for Oliver to be involved but wow.
Each of these characters are tremendously flawed. I cried reading
Cecilia’s rape
and loved Maisie so much. I also thought the way Tom and Cecilia’s relationship progressed to a point that both could accept was so good. Oliver though, I can’t like him no matter what. He just did things he shouldn’t have over and over again.

I didn’t particularly like the Tom & Suzie romance storyline, it just made no sense to me and also killing my boy in the end? That made me feel so unsatisfied. Also why bring Jack in if he wasn’t going to do anything?
Yeah not a fan of this.

I loved this book so much. Definitely one of my favourites I think. I just loved the found family of it all and just the way Jane and August’s relationship developed plus August’s own character development. Myla made me laugh so many times, same with Niko and Wes.
