medium-paced

I recognize that this is a relatively early study of the subject, but it constantly feels like Mendelsohn is quietly happy to recount the failures of the Jewish labour movement despite occasional sympathies with the topic at hand. I think it’s still a good account, but nothing more.
medium-paced

Really just a series of facts more than a well-argued book, and Mendelsohn’s constant interjections about the failures of left-wing Jewish political movements while taking the primacy of Zionism and Israel for granted is especially annoying. It’s an ok crash-course, but imo nothing more.
