A really informative deep dive into some history that’s not been fully delved into in other books I’ve read. It was a little dry at times, but I suppose that can’t always be helped.

On a separate note about the audiobook- there were quite a lot of mouth noises that I didn’t love and took me out of the book a few times.

A really lovely cozy read. I preferred the first half to the second.

Just incredible. I loved every second of this! Such a perfect concept for a memoir.

While the concepts were already familiar to me, it was nice to have a reminder of them! I hated every time he mentioned his website- surely once at the end would have sufficed.

I really enjoyed the unusual narrative voice in this novel! The story gets a bit lost, though I do believe that’s supposed to be intentional. Even so, it makes it a little difficult to follow at certain points. Overall an interesting representation of the time, that I, for the most part, enjoyed.

Genuinely just enjoyed this whole novel! The first in a little while that I absolutely devoured every chance I could!

I really truly wish I had any idea what was going on in this. No fault at all to the author, I think it was written beautifully. I must just be an idiot.
