The Mountain of Souls, Marcus Lee

✨4 stars
✨Dark fantasy and adventure
✨Book 1 of The Chosen trilogy

This is not something I would usually go for, as it’s a bit darker and includes more violence than my usual tastes, but it was a fun opportunity for something new and my first contribution to a book tour.

Marcus Lee does an incredible job with his storytelling weaving together a dark and complicated story, all while pulling us in with Malina and her eventual Chosen family. It’s a dark tale, with murder around every corner. Malina’s not your average hero, and may not even be a hero at all, depending on who you ask. But she’s a survivor. And as the book always reminds us: “Only the strong will survive”.
