First Down by Grace Reilly

This was a pretty good romance book. I appreciated the dual povs between Bex and James in this fake dating story. I liked the overall concept of this book and its complex characters, but sometimes the main characters felt quite young and the story felt rushed at times. This book had some good moments, but I didnβt love it.

This was a beautifully written middle grade fantasy book. The Song Of Orphanβs Garden is written in verse and the author did a great job of creating an atmospheric fantasy world. I absolutely loved this one! This book had me laughing and smiling from start to finish and was an excellent feel-good read. Work In Progress combines some of my favorite tropes as we follow Alice on a bookish bus tour across the UK. This was an amazing debut novel and I canβt wait to read more books by this author in the future.

This was an enjoyable young adult fantasy read. I loved following Alex as she finds herself an a new world. I liked the friendships she made with Bear and Jordan and how the helped her adjust to living in Medora. I really liked the overall storyline of this book and the author did a great job with the world building. There were a couple times where the book felt unnecessarily long, but I found myself engaged anyways. I look forward to reading more books in the Medoran Chronicles series.
