The Customer Is Always... by Stuart Keane

Sometimes a story unfolds in ways you never expected. I can say, for sure, this one caught me by surprise. Once the twist, which happens early on, occurs things pick up like crazy. And there's no real good or bad here but Alot of grey that makes you question Alot of things.
Only negative I can think of are small errors and the pacing felt bit rushed at the end. Still, as far as first short stories come, this author proves he has some neat things lined up if ye continues as strong as he started.

Not my usual genre. Romance is a bit of a boring genre but this is more like an adventure mixed with romance and humor, and for the most part it works. The interaction between the main characters feels both real and well done. The dialog is strong, but Jeff always does well with that. Besides a few storylines that I felt went nowhere or went on to long, it was very funny. The best are the conversations between his roommate and Todd. I nearly died at some parts.
Overall, if you want a well made, fun, romantic-comedy-adventure story look no further. This is for you!

Intensity by Dean Koontz

By far the best Dean Koontz book I've read. I usually have a couple of negatives about the author, since his writing style could be "dry" to say the least. Also, is pacing is usually off. Not with this one, though. Every moment I wanted to see what happened next and the killer was truly insane. I loved it and highly recommend it for anyone who wants a page turner.

I really would give this between a 3 and 4. It's a solid read, with a great start, and slowly fizzles out towards the ending. If you've watched horror movies or read them growing up the twist isn't hard to see. It's pretty easy and while it's well explained it's nothing special. I did like the start and the idea but I wish he kept going. Either way it's worth a read.

Well made for the first story from this author. I did like the ending, despite it being a bit predictable. Also, the tone shifted very fast but to be expected in such a short story. Overall, fun horror read.
