A powerful and incredible tale of resilience and hope and the meaning of freedom. Although I wished a little bit more out of the characters, I do think that this is an important story to be told

Probably one of my favorite classic books thus far, this is an incredible commentary around vanity and beauty and it’s value in society. I absolutely adored the exploration of youth and beauty and how it interplays with privilege and the costs of our actions. Wilde’s descriptions are so immersive it is so good. Highly highly recommend

Incredibly written, a story about stories that I never wanted it to end. So stunning and beautiful

It was the “lets explain consent to a 10000 year old fairie” for me. I’m sure it’s fine it’s just not my thing

I really enjoyed this! Although some parts dragged on a bit and some of the scientific explanations were a bit dry for my taste, I really liked the exploration of hope and connection, even in the most unlikely of spaces. A very well written science fiction book!

I really really enjoyed this book! It was such a fun take on Treasure Island and I absolutely loved the way the story tackled expectations and found family. Also the Vietnamese representation in here was really well done! This was so so fun!! I love queer pirates honestly

I just…I really tried but I dislike love triangles and I legitimately do not care where this goes. I thought there would be more magic, but it’s more in the background. Anyway, maybe I’ll finish it at some point but I can’t right now

A very heartfelt take on grief and loss and how it affects the relationships around us. I liked the sisterly bond, but I also felt that both sisters seemed a little bit too one dimensional. Maybe it was the writing style and the fact that it was written in a free poetic way, but I wasn’t as invested in either character. Maybe because I’m not the target audience, but I found the book to be almost too basic in its exploration of grief, I kept feeling like I wanted more.
